Weatherby is the children's friend as well as an important tool in the area of personal, social and emotional development. He takes it in turn to go home with a different child every day and shares in everything they do. The child draws a picture of his exploits and the parents give a written account in his daily diary. This is a wonderful way of raising the children's self esteem as they share their story with others the following day. He is a famous bear - recognised by children past and present wherever he goes.
